Fraps

CoN tends to use Fraps to create videos from games for later use on YouTube. Fraps is available at http://www.fraps.com/ . This article talks a little bit about how Fraps is used in a CoN context.

• For filesize and system resource considerations, we capture most video at 30fps. We should never go lower than 30fps. 60fps requires a 60fps CoN YouTube Video Bumpers.
• Sound recording can be complex. In XP, there are settings that need to be tweaked in the volume control panel - I believe they're simpler in Win7.
• Record external output only if it's necessary to the video.
• Do not tick the "Don't Sync" setting.
