For the fifteenth birthday, along with releasing Skyglade, all skins will temporarily get the special XV logo in place of their normal logos in the skin and also in the welcome-back messaging. These are the tweaks that need to be applied and later removed to make this happen. Perhaps we want to make this a flag in Common that then includes some new CSS for each skin, I'm not sure yet.

No-Avatar, Logged-In Users

These changes are only on Grave

  • Fastest fix is to change wb_ipb12.php in forums/.
  • At line 95, comment out the $avatarsec and/or replace it with $avatarsec = '<div class="sitelogo" style="margin: 0 auto; float: none;"></div>';
  • This will use the existing CSS to pick up whatever logo we tell it to.

Skyglade

These changes are commented out on CoN as of this writing

  • New files called "sitelogo-skyline-15.png" and "bwlogolarge-15.png" are in the skin folder. This can be safely removed later.
  • Two chunks of skyglade.css were edited to allow the wider anniversary logo. These are at lines 151 and 690 as of this writing, and the old values are commented out for easy retention.
  • Because Tiddles is neat-o, we don't have to screw with the forums separately.

Arch

These changes are only on Grave

  • Added a file called "logo-15.png" to be used in the top right corner of all Arches on the main site.
  • Changed CSS to account for wider logo at line 1 and line 17 in arch-modern.css, #archlogo and #sitetitle.
  • Added three files for the site logo: "sitelogo-15.png", "sitelogo_blue-15.png", "sitelogo_bright-15.png". These files are referenced in arch-default.css, styles/arch-blue.css, and styles/arch-bright.css.
  • The forums got a new logo, named logo-15.png in the "7" and "8" folders in style-images.
  • CSS files in the cache folder were updated to use the new logo. These files for Arch are _12, _13, _14.

Persona

These changes are only on Grave

  • The forums got a new logo, named logo-15.png in the "2" folder in style-images.
  • CSS files in the cache folder were updated to use the new logo. This file is _10. Three IDs need to be changed: #logostrip, #sitelogo, and #sectiontitle. Make sure that the database matches the cache after these changes.
  • Persona-Modern gets a new topbar logo, named topbarlogo-15.gif. persona.css changes at line 195.
  • The new sitelogo, sitelogo-15.png was added to layout/Persona, and line 1 in persona.css changed to use it.

Scanner

These changes are only on Grave

  • The forums got a new logo, named bannerlogo-15.png in the "6" folder in style-images.
  • CSS files in the cache folder were updated to use the new logo. This file is _15. The change is made to div.titlesprite on line 272, similar to the next bullet. Make sure that the database matches the cache after these changes.
  • Set up a new logo for Scanner-Modern, because the GIF was too hard to manage in general with the new pieces. The CoNniversary logo is bannerlogo-15.png and is set up in layout/Scanner/modern.css line 79.
  • The new sitelogo, sitelogo-15.png was added to layout/Scanner, and line 1 in con3.css changed to use it.

Digi

These changes are only on Grave

  • The new sitelogo, sitelogo-15.png was added to layout/Digi, and line 1 in digi.css changed to use it.
  • The skin and the forum skin do not need changes as Digi does not have a "Modern" variant, as it does not carry the stock CoN branding.

Aluminum

These changes are only on Grave

  • The new sitelogo, sitelogo-15.png was added to layout/Aluminum, and line 8 in con4.css changed to use it.
  • A new logo for the modern skin, called "logo-15.png" is in layout/Aluminum, and con4.css was changed to use it in the #logofg element.
  • The forums got a new logo, named logo-15.png in the "3" folder in style-images.
  • CSS files in the cache folder were updated to use the new logo. This was css_11.css.
  • Update the database for this CSS to use the cached version after making the change!
